On June 15, the First China-South Asia Cooperation Forum was successfully held at Fuxian Lake. There was an opening ceremony of China-South Asia Poverty Reduction Exhibition in the morning, followed by China-South Asia High Level Roundtable Meeting for Business Cooperation, China-South Asia Local Government Leaders' Dialogue, Financial Cooperation Development Strategy Seminar and other activities. Leaders from the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Chinese Ministry of Commerce and delegations from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri- Lanka and other south Asian countries and southeast Asian countries such as Myanmar, Vietnam, and representatives from Asian Development Bank, New Development Bank, and other international organizations,as well as relevant provinces attended the forum, nearly 400 people in total. 　　 　　This forum was hosted by Chinese Ministry of commerce, Chinese Foreign Ministry and People's Government of Yunnan Province, themed on "closer regional cooperation for inclusive development", aiming to build a new platform for China and South Asian countries to share experience on trade and investment, cultural exchange and knowledge.

Delegation of Overseas Chinese Media which consisted of the overseas Chinese media from the USA, Canada, Japan, Germany, Hungary and other 14 countries recently paid a visit to Yuxi. She said “it is worth to take time to experience the picturesque Yuxi .” 　　On May 20, Reporters’ Meeting was held by Yuxi Municipal People’s Government to extend welcome to Yuxi. The great achievements in the reform & opening-up for the past 40 years, even in “the Belt and Road Initiative” was introduced by the leader of Yuxi Municipal People’s Government. List of China’s Top 100 Cities with the Most Sports Vigor in 2017 has been released in recent days. Yuxi rose sharply to the 92th among the cities with most sports vigor, ranking the 4th in Yunnan Province, behind Kunming, Lijiang and Qujing cities. 　　It was reported that the List of China’s Top 100 Cities with the Most Sports Vigor in 2017 was jointly released by People’s Sports Website and the Public Opinion Date Center of People’s Network for the third consecutive year. The list related to 334 municipal administrative units and 4 municipalities directly under the central government.

According to Yuxi Municipal Bureau of Commerce, import and export enterprises newly increased by 94 from 2016 to 2017 and a total amount of import and export $1.394 billion was achieved, up to 33.8% of the total value of foreign trade in Yuxi Municipality on the corresponding period. The newly increased enterprises promoted the enlargement of consumption scale and structure upgrading, as well as the development of all businesses in foreign trade. 　　 　　It was reported that 160 enterprises developed foreign trade in Yuxi Municipality. 2018 Yuxi Camp . “Searching for Roots Tour” Summer Camp of Foreign Youth of Chinese Origin was held from March 12 to March 23 in Yuxi City, Yunnan Province, China. 50 teenagers from Thailand paid a 12-day visit to Yuxi for searching their roots to understand the profound Chinese culture, and to learn & inherit the quintessence of Chinese culture. During the trip, Mr. Zhang Zhijun taught the skills in Chinese ink painting in his own person and guided the teenagers to appreciate the ways in expressing one’s emotion. In Yuxi Ceramics Factory at Wayao Village in Hongta District, the teenagers appreciated Yuxi Kiln which inherited the exquisite crafts from the blue and white porcelains in Song and Ming dynasties.
