The volume of agricultural products exports of Yuxi have put it at first place in Yunnan Province for many years running with a record high being achieved again in 2020. The city’s exports of agricultural products have been increasing, with as many as 27 types. The exports of fruits and vegetables are still ranked at first and second respectively, with fruit exports reaching ＄2.51 billion and vegetable exports achieving ＄440 million. As of 12:00 am on February 17th, Yuxi City had welcomed a total of 2.2708 million tourists during the Spring Festival holiday, an increase of 471.13% over the same period last year. The total tourism revenue was RMB1.385 billion, an increase of 376.72% over the same period last year. During the Spring Festival holiday, Fuxian Lake Blue attracted a large number of tourists. Chengjiang Natural Museum Fossil Site and Qinghua Street have also become the latest internet sensations. The latter of these also carries the traditional history and culture of Yuxi Blue and White Porcelain. The Daga Expressway project is one of the key construction projects of the county-to-county expressway in the Central Yunnan Urban Economic Circle and the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" of Yunnan Province. The Daga Expressway starts at Dakaimen Village, Xinping Yi and Dai Autonomous County, Yuxi City and ends at Gasa, Yuxi City. The total length of the expressway is 66.65 kilometers and includes 55 bridges with a total length of 22.489 kilometers; there are 17 tunnels with a total length of 25.941 kilometers of these there are 2 extra-large bridges and 2 extra-long tunnels. The bridge-to-tunnel ratio is as high as 70%. After being officially opened, it will better improve traffic conditions in Xinping County, and will also rewrite Xinping County’s historic lack of expressways. A 1 hour tour from Dakaimen to Gasa will effectively alleviate traffic pressure and improve the happiness index of local residents. In 2020, with the clarion call to build the first city of Yunnan's digital economy, Yuxi sailed out to the new blue ocean of a digital economy. Running around Fuxian Lake in Yuxi and enjoying the fresh air, Vladimir Norov, the Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization praised the location saying "Fuxian Lake is a great place to exercise!" What is so special about Fuxian Lake that it deserves praise from Mr. Norov? Fuxian Lake is the biggest deep-water freshwater lake in China. So far, it has maintained Class I water quality with a water storage capacity of 20.6 billion cubic meters. Since 2020, "Blue Fuxian Lake" appeared on many CCTV channels, stunning the country. This is not only a unique geographic location, but also an important manifestation of the of local efforts in ecology and culture.
