On July 18, a reporter visited Yuxi Jiulongchi Park and found that many local residents and tourists had come to the park during the holiday to escape the summer heat. Strolling leisurely through the park, visitors stopped to admire the picturesque views of towering ancient trees, crystal-clear springs, and emerald-green pools, immersing themselves in a peaceful and refreshing summer experience. During their visit, tourists consciously followed the park’s regulations, protected the environment, maintained order, and practiced civilized sightseeing. On July 31, the themed event “Raising the National Flag and Singing the National Anthem Together” was held at Nie Er Square in the hometown of Nie Er, warmly celebrating the 99th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA). The event aimed to promote patriotism, carry forward the fine tradition of supporting the military and giving preferential treatment to military personnel and their families, and unite strong forces to advance Yuxi’s modernization efforts. Following the flag-raising ceremony, a storytelling session featuring heroic figures and martyrs was held, guiding participants to revisit the remarkable history of revolutionary struggles. All attendees sang “Ode to the Motherland” together, expressing their love for the country through song. The event also included legal education activities, further popularizing national defense laws and regulations and encouraging citizens to strengthen their awareness of the overall national security concept. Recently, many residents have visited Nie Er Music Town to explore the new attraction. Located at the intersection of Nie Er Road and Qiyang Road, the town is a comprehensive cultural, commercial, and tourism complex integrating cultural exhibitions, commercial operations, and leisure tourism. Operating under a model that combines state-owned ownership with professional management, the town preserves its rich cultural character while catering to a wide range of consumer needs. Currently, the 10,000-mu ecological tea garden at Yuncha Manor in Eshan County has entered the prime season for spring tea picking. Tea farmers are racing against time to harvest fresh tea leaves. Tea pickers dressed in Yi ethnic costumes form a picturesque scene on the tea hills, attracting many tourists to experience tea picking. In addition to integrating ethnic culture into tea gardens to promote the integrated development of agriculture, culture and tourism, Yuncha Manor has also introduced advanced domestic intelligent digital-controlled production lines. It has cooperated with universities to build an Internet of Things platform, advancing the standardization and digitalization of tea production. Empowered by technology, the tea industry has improved quality and efficiency, helping local people increase their incomes and achieve prosperity.
On March 17, during the critical period of spring plowing and preparation, aerial photos taken by reporters over the fields in Tonghai County, Yuxi City, presented a vibrant spring farming scene. The fields were a hive of activity, as farmers were racing against the farming season to carry out spring cultivation. Viewed from above, the contiguous vegetable bases were lush and green, with all kinds of vegetables growing vigorously. The fields in different colors were interwoven, just like a carefully blended palette by nature.
To upgrade the construction of open economy and build a bridge for foreign trade cooperation, Yuxi foreign affairs office invited Thai Entrepreneurs’ from Pathum Thani Province to visit Yuxi from January 26th to 30th.
On November 29th, the main stadium of Yuxi Plateau Sports Center in Yunnan was filled with an extraordinarily vibrant atmosphere, where drumbeats mingled with cheers and battle flags fluttered. While the excitement of the 2025 Chinese Super League (CSL) was still lingering, the flames of the Yunnan Super League were ignited here. In the opening match that night, Yuxi Team claimed an overwhelming 4-0 victory over Nujiang Team, securing a brilliant start to the season and treating the 23,868 on-site spectators to a thrilling and satisfying football feast.
