Enjoy Your Date with Jasmine Flowers in Yuanjiang

 

       During the May Day holiday, Wanrui Jasmine Manor alongside Yuanjiang Avenue was filled with great excitement. People of the Hani, Yi and other ethnic groups dressed in gorgeous costumes sang and danced merrily along the field ridges. A host of activities including a city-wide treasure hunt and jasmine picking contests were held one after another amid the sea of jasmine flowers.
        Leveraging its advantage of boasting Yunnan Province’s largest jasmine production base, Yuanjiang County launched a series of agriculture, culture and tourism themed activities centered on jasmine during the May Day holiday, drawing numerous tourists to admire the blossoms, enjoy leisure tours and spend a pleasant holiday.
       In recent years, rooted in the jasmine industry, Yuanjiang County has further integrated agriculture, culture and tourism. By hosting festive events to attract visitors and boost industrial development, the county continuously burnishes its reputation as "A City of Flowers and Fruits", and enhances the popularity and influence of Yuanjiang jasmine.

On the first day of the May Day holiday, major scenic spots in Gasa Town of Xinping County, including the Ailaoshan Jinshan Primeval Forest, the Ancient Tea Horse Road and Shimen Gorge, welcomed a peak of tourist arrivals. Drizzly weather draped the mountain forests in a dreamy veil, with mist curling around the hills and the forest sea looming faintly amid the dense haze. After the rain, the mountains and woods looked fresher in greenery and the air was exceptionally pure, fully revealing the enchanting charm of original ecological natural scenery. The light drizzle did not dampen tourists’ enthusiasm for traveling, and the scenic areas were packed with visitors. Many tourists, wearing raincoats and equipped with hiking gear, wandered leisurely along forest paths as if stepping into a fairyland shrouded in mist. They admired the murmuring streams in secluded valleys and the boundless primeval forest sea along the way, getting close to nature wholeheartedly and indulging themselves in the precious holiday leisure time. Tourists could be seen wandering among the mountains, with cheerful laughter echoing everywhere, presenting a strong festive atmosphere of the May Day holiday.

On the west bank of Xingyun Lake in spring, lush greenery abounds. In the wetlands, tall metasequoia trees stretch out their new leaves, contrasting beautifully with the lake water to form a picturesque scene. On March 21, numerous visitors came to enjoy the scenery, boating on the lake and fully immersing themselves in the atmosphere of spring.

On July 21st, workers were busy among the lush potted flowers in the intelligent flower planting greenhouse of Yuxi Ziyu Flower Industry Co., Ltd. This company is a leading enterprise in agricultural industrialization engaged in the production and sales of rose seedlings, potted roses, potted succulents and potted phalaenopsis. With a very productive operation mode, this company has built a research and development platform in cooperation with multiple scientific research institutes, and owns 17 national patents. Flowers from Yuxi are sold far to first-tier and second-tier cities across China and have become a well-known brand in Yunnan's flower industry.

Recently, visitors to Yimen have noticed a café in Luzhi Town, which looks exactly like a tape recorder. With 3.5 meters wide, 10 meters long, and weighing 6 tons, it perfectly replicates the iconic dual-cassette tape recorder from the 1980s, and the owner continuously plays pop music from the 1980s, attracting an increasing number of netizens and tourists to explore it. This highly creative café, which has gone viral on social media, has become a popular local landmark for photo check-ins.

Cherry blossoms are in full bloom at Hongtashan Park, attracting visitors with its springtime spectacle. On March 25, many citizens flocked here to admire the flowers, enjoy the scenery, and take photos, creating a beautiful landscape. Every year when the cherry blossoms bloom, Hongtashan Park draws a large number of tourists.
