Torch Festival inXinping County
On August 10th, coinciding with the 24th day of the sixth lunar month, the annual Yi Torch Festival arrived as scheduled. At an altitude of 2615 meters in the Mopan Mountain National Forest Park, the Holy Fire Platform hosted the "Thousands of Families, Auspicious Fire, Unity of All Ethnic Groups" Yi Torch Festival, igniting the "first fire" of the traditional Yi Torch Festival in Xinping County for the year 2023.
At 8 p.m., this sacred fire kindled the giant torch on the ethnic square, creating a summer "fireworks atmosphere" in the county. At that time, the ethnic square will showcase a series of splendid performances such as Mopi Huagu drum dance, Yanzuwu dance, and Yi ethnic dance, allowing people of all ethnicities to share in the romance and passion of the Yi Torch Festival.

Recently, visitors to Yimen have noticed a café in Luzhi Town, which looks exactly like a tape recorder. With 3.5 meters wide, 10 meters long, and weighing 6 tons, it perfectly replicates the iconic dual-cassette tape recorder from the 1980s, and the owner continuously plays pop music from the 1980s, attracting an increasing number of netizens and tourists to explore it. This highly creative café, which has gone viral on social media, has become a popular local landmark for photo check-ins.
Cherry blossoms are in full bloom at Hongtashan Park, attracting visitors with its springtime spectacle. On March 25, many citizens flocked here to admire the flowers, enjoy the scenery, and take photos, creating a beautiful landscape.
