In 2021, the GDP of Yuxi City reached RMB 235.23 billion yuan, and the per capita GDP reached RMB 104,800 yuan, ranking first in Yunnan Province. With 617 kilometers of expressways, a convenient and efficient transportation network is being formed. Recenly, volunteers completed the first wall painting, putting colorful new clothes on the previously monotonous walls in Yuxi.

There are 87 tombs in total, and more than 4,000 pieces (sets) of bronze artifacts that have been unearthed. 李家山.png Cultural relics like those unearthed from the Lijiashan ancient tombs have distinct regional colors and regional characteristics. They fully demonstrate the uniqueness and highly developed level of the ancient Yunnan bronze civilization, and also confirm close cultural exchanges between ancient Yunnan and northern China, Lingnan Vietnamese, and Southeast Asia.

On September the 4th, the 12th Yunnan Paralympic Games and 6th Special Olympic Games kicked off in Yuxi City. 残运会开幕.png The current Provincial Paralympic Games and Special Olympics are hosted by the Provincial Disabled Persons' Federation and the Provincial Sports Bureau, with the support of the Yuxi Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government. The games will be held in Yuxi City from the 3rd to the 10th of September, 2022. A total of 1850 people from 18 delegations from 16 prefectures (cities) including the Yunnan Special Education Vocational College signed up for the competition. The Provincial Paralympic Games has 10 competition events, and the Special Olympics has 4 events, with a total of 431 minor events.

Ten suitable wall sections throughout the whole district have been selected. Students skilled at painting have designed the pictures combining regional culture and the surrounding environment. A lot of people participated in filling in the color, brush cleaning and blending of paint. The project is focused on organizing and encouraging residents to participate in the beautification of their living environment. At the same time, young volunteers are encouraged to play a role in key tasks such as grassroots governance and rural revitalization, so as to achieve positive interaction between practical education and community service.
