“People’s Daily” Overseas Edition Has this to Say about Yuxi: “You can develop your career with peace of mind here.”
The event “2020 Cross-Strait Media's Yunnan Tour” was sponsored by the National Taiwan Federation, with nearly 30 media representatives from more than 10 media outlets across the strait. While measuring the magnificent mountains and rivers with their feet, they took time to personally appreciate the outstanding achievements in the mainland on rural construction and economic development.
During their trip to the Yuxi, Yanhe Industrial Zone, a production workshop of the Taiwanese-funded enterprise Zhuanjing Precision Sheet Metal (Yuxi) Co., Ltd. quickly attracted the attention of the media on both sides of the strait. Although it was midday, the spacious factory was still busy. Li Zhiming, the manager and a Taiwanese businessman, told reporters that since April, his factory has been supplying parts for more than 400 mask mold machines every month and the total shipment volume is about 3,000 per month. During the epidemic, his factory provided additional job opportunities for local workers unable to leave their locale. At the same time, his company also provided skill training for workers who intended on staying behind, helping to “guarantee employment”. Mr Li frequently mentioned the help he had received from the Yuxi government. “Whenever we run into difficulties, we always get timely feedback. We don't have to worry about social security, children's schooling and other issues at all. We can develop our business here with peace of mind.” With a series of favorable policies and the ever-improving investment environment, Taiwanese merchants will have a broader development platform to use in the mainland.
