Building A Green Ecological Safety Barrier for Fuxian Lake
Over the past few days, workers have been busy digging wetlands, building garden roads, planting seedlings, and covering an area of nearly 30,000 square meters of ecological wetlands in the former Shuiyuan Hotel on the bank of Fuxian Lake. In December 2017, as the first group of the central, provincial, municipal enterprises and institutions to withdraw from Fuxian Lake, Shuiyuan Hotel and other 10 units gradually dismantled the related buildings after the launch of Thunder Action of Fuxian Lake. By the end of February 2019, a land with an area of 78.83 mu for ecological restoration had been completed and it became an ecological security barrier for the protection of Fuxian Lake.
Recently, tourists have been immersing themselves in bamboo pole dancing at the Yuzhufenghai Scenic Area in Eshan. As the summer travel peak arrives, several popular scenic spots in Eshan County have jointly launched the "Charming Eshan" tourist route, which covers distinctive attractions such as Yuzhufenghai, Yuncha Villa, Xi'e Ancient Town, and the Thousand-Mu Lotus Pond. Flowers from Yuxi are sold far to first-tier and second-tier cities across China and have become a well-known brand in Yunnan's flower industry.
