Tsinghua·Yuxi Public Sector Talent Development Fund Was Jointly Established by Yuxi Municipality and Tsinghua University
On August 18, 2018, Donation Intention Signing Ceremony of Tsinghua·Yuxi Public Sector Talent Development Fund was held on the 13th Tsinghua University Public Management Forum. The exchange and cooperation between Yuxi Municipality and the School of Public Administration of Tsinghua University would be further strengthened in personnel development and training with the support of the fund.
On behalf of the CPC Yuxi Municipal Committee and Yuxi Municipal People’s Government, Mr. Zhang Dehua, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Yuxi Municipal Committee and Mayor of Yuxi Municipal People’s Government expressed thanks to the donating enterprises and the School of Public Administration of Tsinghua University for their strong support and help in cultivating talents in Yuxi. He said, Yuxi was in the golden period of frog-leap-forward development, the window period of strategic transformation and the critical period of overcoming difficulties. It was in urgent need of talent resources to promote industry innovation and value creation. The establishment of Tsinghua· Yuxi Public Sector Talent Development Fund poured new vitality into the cultivation of public management talents in Yuxi, and then to provide stronger strength to promote frog-leap-forward development of economy and society in Yuxi. It was hoped that the two sides would further strengthen exchange and cooperation, realize mutual complementary and mutual benefit to promote Yuxi to a new stage with talent resources in the future.
Mr. Xue Lan, Dean of the School of Public Administration of Tsinghua University, said the school had always attached great importance to cooperation with local governments. In recent years, the school cooperated with Yuxi in cadre training, researching and got good effects. The two sides further signed the memorandum of cooperation in April this year, and would carry out all-round cooperation in private nonprofit organizations, the United Nations SDG target landing transformation, decision-making advisory services, graduate training, cadre education and training, think-tank achievements transformation and so on. Form June 28 to August 8, 13 graduates from the School of Public Administration of Tsinghua University came to Yuxi to do a short period practice. This forum was also a highlight of the cooperation. Mr. Xue Lan said, under the strong guarantee of Tsinghua·Yuxi Public Sector Talent Development Fund, the School of Public Administration of Tsinghua University and Yuxi will further achieve win-win cooperation and work together to create a successful model of school-government exchange and cooperation.
Mr. Zhu Xufeng, Vice-Dean of School of Public Administration of Tsinghua University, signed a donation agreement with the head of Yunnan Huofa Group, a donating enterprise.
