6 Towns of Yuxi Municipality on the Name List of the Characteristic Towns of Yunnan Province
In recent days, the Press on the Characteristic Towns of Yunnan Province was held. 105 towns were selected on the name list of the Characteristic Towns of Yunnan Province. 6 towns of Yuxi Municipality were on the name list. Guanglong Tourism Town in Chengjiang County was expected to build into characteristic town at the first-class in China. Xi’e Ancient Town in E’shan County, Gasa Town in Xinping County, Yangguang Town in Tonghai County, Hanwuji Town in Chengjiang County and Panxi Town in Huaning County were expected to build into characteristic towns at the first-class in Yunnan Province.
It is reported that building characteristic towns is an important parts for new-type urbanization. 290 towns in 16 municipalities and prefectures in Yunnan Province has applied for Characteristic Towns. After check, research and discussion, the final name list is confirmed. The selection for characteristic towns is oriented by the uniqueness and characteristic in Yunnan Province or in China even in the world as the first principle, with the basics for industry development as important principle.
The selected 105 towns are divided three levels. 5 towns at the first level are designed to build into international characteristic towns. 20 towns at the second level are designed to build into characteristic towns at the first-class in China. 80 towns at the third level are designed to build into characteristic towns at the first-class in Yunnan Province.
