Mayor Rao Nanhu Emphasized on Further Development on Foreign Cooperation and Marketing Expansion Overseas
From November 29 to December 4, Rao Nanhu, Vice-secretary of Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Yuxi, led a team to a field investigation on foreign trade enterprises of Yuxi in Cambodia, Laos and Thailand, listened to their problems and difficulties overseas and helped to solve them. She emphasized on further development of foreign economic cooperation and encouraged more enterprises to expand international market. She believes it will make new contributions to the great-leap-forward development of Yuxi.
According to introduction, currently there are 25 overseas investment projects approved by the Ministry of Commerce, with a total investment of nearly $300 million, including investments in agricultural products processing, tobacco processing, mineral resources development, building materials, trade etc. From January to October this year, the import and export gross of Yuxi reached nearly $1.34 billion, with a growth rate of 74.7% compared to last year and overfulfilled the target task ahead of time.
According to these enterprises, their major problems lie in tax, customs, inspection and quarantine, customs clearance facilitation, financing etc. Mayor Rao Nanhu made a deployment that relevant departments should make every effort to solve these problems. She also encouraged enterprises to seize the opportunity, build confidence, stand firm and help each other. What’s more, she pointed out that more work need to be done in marketing, promoting brand and enlarging the scale of enterprise.
