Celebration of rice-noodle festival is coming. As usual, it begins after Spring Festival and last for 81 days, which is recorded as “the longest festival of the world”in Guinness World Records. Rice-noodle is not only a namecard of Yunnan cuisine, but also a kind of life faith for Yuxi natives. For them, rice-noodle is an important part of Yuxi food culture with sentimental value.
The opening ceremony is in Dayiingjie, from Feb. 21th to 26th . Not only can tourists enjoy delicious rice-noodles, but also roast duck and spring which Dayingjie is famous for. Happiness of Spring Festival will continue, and more fun is coming with Rice-noodle Festival!
Many kinds of activities will be presented during the celebration, such as Parade of Praying to Land God, Fireworks Ceremony , “My Hometown Impression” Folk Culture Exhibition, Show Tour, Rice-noodle Cuisines, Festivities in the Park ect.

A flash mob themed "Colorful Yuanjiang · Joyful Songs on the Silk Road - A Feast of Ethnic Cultures along the China-Laos Railway" was passionately launched at Yuanjiang Station of the China-Laos Railway. Local ethnic dancers from the Hani, Yi, Dai and other ethnic groups wore gorgeous ethnic costumes, weaving a flowing picture scroll of ethnic customs with their songs and dances.
