China-Laos Railway—A Golden Way That Brings Opportunities and Development
As the China-Laos Railway sped through the mountains, and the industrial development momentum along the line was surging. In the past three years, the China-Laos Railway has effectively promoted the development of industries along the line, as well as the logistics hubs and industrial zones along the way. Driven by this golden channel, Yuxi City has embraced the railway economy, and is now on its way of fast high-quality development.
As the city with the most stations along the China-Laos Railway, Yuxi actively gives play to the advantages of logistics supply chain agglomeration and industrial chain construction along the China-Laos Railway, and vigorously develops its compound urban economy. Among all the 5 stations, Yuxi Station focuses on the development of new business forms and new economy such as health care, business support, leisure & entertainment, and convenient logistics, to build a new city with high-speed railway. Yanhe Station is working on the layout of grain storage, cold chain logistics, CNC machine tools and other industries, to create a new model of the deep integration of modern service industry and advanced manufacturing industry. Eshan Station and Huanian Station are working on the development of green steel, equipment manufacturing and integrated logistics industries, vigorously promoting the replacement and upgrading of Yukun and Xianfu steel production capacity. Yuanjiang Station is making efforts on creating silicon manganese alloy, nickel, manganese, cobalt nonferrous metal metallurgical new materials industry, logistics, commerce and so on.
Recently, tourists have been immersing themselves in bamboo pole dancing at the Yuzhufenghai Scenic Area in Eshan. As the summer travel peak arrives, several popular scenic spots in Eshan County have jointly launched the "Charming Eshan" tourist route, which covers distinctive attractions such as Yuzhufenghai, Yuncha Villa, Xi'e Ancient Town, and the Thousand-Mu Lotus Pond. At the scene, special fruits of Yuanjiang such as mangoes, lychee and pineapples were served for free, for passengers to have a taste, so that everyone can feel the enthusiasm of Yuanjiang, the City of Flowers and Fruits, as soon as they get off the train.
