The Exhibition of Yuxi Ancient Calligraphy and Painting Was Held in Beijing
On July 25, 2019，the exhibition of fine collections of ancient paintings and calligraphy in Yuxi of Yunnan Province opened the prelude of its national tour at the Luxun Museum in Beijing, jointly launched by Yuxi Municipal Museum and Tonghai County Museum.
Yuxi has a long history, beautiful scenery and prosperous literary style. Since the Ming and Qing dynasties, many extraordinary calligraphers and painters emerged in Yuxi, and the style of calligraphy has been handed down from generation to generation. Yuxi adheres to its own fine cultural tradition and displays the artistic charm of Confucianism and elegance in the cultural inheritance of poetic fragrance.
The exhibition is divided into two parts: “Charm of the Calligraphy - Calligraphy Boutique in Yuxi” and “Beauty of the Paintings - Collection of fine Paintings in Yuxi”, a total of more than 100 pieces (sets) of works are exhibited, most of which are from the famous masters in Qing Dynasty. There are masterpieces from Yuxi local masters, as well as masterpieces inside and outside Yunnan Province.
These works condense the imprints of the times and history, burst out with unique personality, appreciate these paintings and calligraphy, people can not help but bow their heads to admire.
It is reported that this exhibition has played a good role in promoting the recognition and evaluation of the ancient painting and calligraphy art in Yuxi, and has also played a good demonstration role in the ancient subjects and cultural exchange activities in Yunnan Province, bringing fresh visual experience to the audience. The exhibition runs until September 18, 2019.
