Yuxi Municipal People’s Government Has New Moves to Deploy 5G
Mayor Zhang Dehua and General Manager of China Mobile Yunnan Branch Ma Kui signed the agreement on behalf of the two parties.
Zhang Dehua said that in recent years, the emerging industries in Yuxi, especially information industry, have entered a stage of rapid agglomeration and development. At present, the city is striving to build an Innovative City of Science and Education in Central Yunnan in accordance with the development requirements set by the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee and Yunnan Provincial People’s Government, accelerating the pilot construction of National Innovative City and National Smart City. Meanwhile, Yuxi will strive to build a pilot zone of digital economy in Yunnan Province, a digital economy demonstration zone and innovation center facing South Asia and Southeast Asia within 4 to 5 years. In this process, advanced network technology support is what we need exactly. Zhang Dehua also expressed his expectation on that 5G technology will promote digital economy, emerging industries, smart city construction and innovative development of science and education in Yuxi, so that this cooperation will take the lead in the application of 5G technology in Yunnan Province.
