Chengjiang Promotes the Construction of "Beautiful County"
Chengjiang County is located in the one-hour economic circle of central Yunnan, as well as the core area of Kunyu Tourism and Cultural Industry Economic Belt. Its good ecological environment, abundant natural resources, mild climate and good air quality all year round make it an ideal place for winter and summer recreation. In recent years, Chengjiang County has carried out three major strategies regarding ecology, tourism and opening-up, focusing on the three major battles including protection and governance of Fuxian Lake, industrial transformation and upgrading, and urban-rural integration. Aiming at an international image, focusing on three major elements of "clean, livable and characteristic", Chengjiang will promote the construction of "Beautiful County" at a high level. That is, a national health county, a featured-agriculture and rural tourism demonstration county, a national rural sewage treatment demonstration county, a national intelligence health pension demonstration base, a rural residential environment demonstration county of Yunnan province, and Fuxian Lake national tourism resort. Chengjiang county's economy strided to Yunnan's Top 10 in 2018, and its urbanization rate rised to 53%, hopefully to get the title of Beautiful County of Yunnan in 2019, with 28 projects under plan and a total investment of nearly 3 billion.
2019 Fortune Global Sustainability Forum will be held by Fuxian Lake in September. Chengjiang County will take this opportunity to vigorously implement the "Beautiful County" greening and beautification project, and redecorate the landscape of Chengjiang County's entrance and exit on expressways. Fuxian Lake Huanhu North Road Landscape Reconstruction and Enhancement Project, Fuxian Lake North Shore Ecological Storage Belt Lighting Project, Xianhu Road and Dongdahe Highway Reconstruction along the street and over 10 projects are under construction. In the process of construction, according to Zhang Cheng, deputy director of the Chengjiang County Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, these construction projects are scheduled to be completed by the end of August. At that time, the charm and characteristics of Chengjiang will be displayed to the world.
