Yuxi Wins Provincial Awards for Two Cultural Tourism Routes
Results have been announced for the Yunnan Cultural and Tourism Route Competition sponsored by the Yunnan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and undertaken by the Yunnan Provincial Association of Travel Agents from the Yuxi Bureau of Culture and Tourism. Two travel routes in Yuxi were awarded second place.
“A taste of Yuxi” is a travel route which fuses Yuxi cuisine with beautiful scenery, providing local delicacies such as Copper Pot Fish, Chengjiang Lotus Root Jelly, Yuxi Rice Noodles and Gasa Beef Hot Pot. The landscapes and locales of Fuxian Lake, Hongta Industrial Zone, Huayao Dai Villages and the Mysterious Ailaoshan Mountains are on full display showing the natural scenery and cultural landscape of Yuxi. “Dance in Yuxi” is a health and wellness themed travel route. This route not only allows tourists to fully experience local culture and folk customs, but also an in-depth tour to the Place of Origin, Nie Er’s Hometown, the Hometown of Yunnan Tobacco, the Hometown of Huadeng Opera (Yuxi local opera) and the Central Yunnan Plateau’s Water Hometown.
