Rapid Development of Logistics Industry
Cargo hoisting work at the freight yard of Yanhe Railway Station in Hongta District recently commenced. The Yuxi Municipality has actively integrated itself into “the Belt and Road”, “Yangtze River Economic Belt” and “Centre for China Cooperation with Southeast Asia” while also being closely focused on the “Three Regions and One Port” project. As a result the modern logistics industry has continued to grow in scale. At present, there are 450 logistics warehousing and distribution enterprises (excluding goods transportation enterprises) and more than 140,000 social logistics employees in Yuxi. In the first half of this year, the added value of the city’s transportation, storage and postal services achieved a 4.4% increase, reaching RMB 5.89 billion yuan.
