Another Big Move Made on China-Laos Railway, Yanhe Station. Synchronized at Home and Abroad!
On November 19, installation of the first electrified catenary conductor of the entire line began between Yanhe and Eshan on the domestic section of the China-Laos Railway. At the same time, erection of the catenary on the Vientiane North to Vientiane section took place. Railway electrification projects involve electric power, traction power supply and are a key link in completing the "last mile" of modern railway construction. It affects the power consumption of stations and trains and is related to the safety of train operation and the power experience of passengers once the railway is completed.
The northernmost station of the China-Laos Railway is in Yuxi City in Yunnan Province and ends in Vientiane, the capital of Laos. It is a first-class national electric railway. The total length of the domestic section is about 508 kilometers with a planned speed of 160 kilometers per hour. After completion and being officially opened, it will become another inbound and outbound international railway in southwest China.
