
Mr. Jiang Hua Meets with the Delegation Led by Mr. Mongkol Visitstump, the Royal Thai Consul-General in Kunming
On August 26th, Mr. Jiang Hua, Mayor of Yuxi Municipal People’s Government, met with Mr. Mongkol Visitstump, the Consul-General of the Royal Thai Consulate General in Kunming.
Mr. Jiang Hua extended a warm welcome to Mr. Mongkol Visitstump and his delegates, and introduced the economic and social development of Yuxi. He said that in recent years, the bilateral friendly relations between Yuxi and Thailand have made great progress. The two sides have conducted friendly exchanges and reached consensus on the construction of international sister cities as well as economic & trade cooperation. From January to June this year, our city’s exports to Thailand reached 127 million dollars, and Thailand has become our city’s second largest export destination.
Mr. Jiang Hua said the visit of Consul-General Mr. Mongkol Visitstump will be a good opportunity to further strengthen cooperation between the two sides in the fields of economy and trade, tourism, agriculture, biomedicine and other fields.
Mr. Mongkol Visitstump expressed his gratitude to Yuxi for supporting Thai enterprises in Yuxi, and also for the help given to Thai students in Yuxi during Covid-19 epidemic. He also hopes to further strengthen cooperation with Yuxi in those fields mentioned to achieve win-win and common development.
