Introduction |
In accordance with the development status and development planning of the South District, the Jiulong District and the Longquan Industrial Park of the Hi-tech Zone of Yuxi, are striving to build the Yuxi Hi-tech Zone Special Medicine Industrial Base by further perfecting the planning, investing more, optimizing the environment and promoting investment. The South District is mainly used to develop vaccinations, genetic engineering, cell engineering, etc., the Jiulong District is mainly used to produce health care medicine, health care nourishment, new biological medicine, etc. and the Longquan Industrial Park is mainly used to develop natural medicine processing and produce new modern Chinese medicine, medical intermediates, biological agricultural products, etc. With a total area of used land of 2000mu, it is planned that more than 50 large-scale biological medicine enterprises will be introduced into the industrial park with the newly-increased output value of RMB8 billion yuan by the end of 2020. |

Construction Condition |
The South District and Jiulong District are the key construction areas of Yuxi Hi-tech Zone. Presently, this area has good access to water, power and gas with a complete set of infrastructures including communication and transportation systems. The infrastructures including water, power and gas systems in Longquan Industrial Park are being completed step by step under good construction conditions. |

Supply of Main and Supplementary Materials and Availability of Labor Resources |
Principal raw materials and supplementary materials can be purchased on the domestic market. Water, power and gas are in sufficient supply. Most of the employees can be recruited from the surrounding regions with an average labor force salary of about RMB2000 yuan/person/month. |

First-Phase Preparations and Progress |
There are altogether 22 biological medicine manufacturers in Yuxi City, wherein, 14 manufacturers including Walvax Biotechnology, Weihe Pharma, Wangzilong, Dianzhong Pharma, etc. are located in the Hi-tech Zone of Yuxi. Bioengineering and pharmaceutical industries have become the leading industry in Yuxi Hi-tech Zone and have laid a solid foundation for the development of the bioengineering and pharmaceutical industry of the whole city. |

Investment estimation: total investment of about RMB6 billion yuan. Fund Structure: jointly determined by investment enterprises and industrial parks after equal negotiations. Ways of fund raising: through investment promotion, self-financing, etc. |

Preliminary Economic Benefit Analysis |
By the end of 2020, an additional 50 biological medicine enterprises of a certain scale will be introduced into the industrial park with a newly-increased output value of RMB8 billion yuan, newly-created 1,000 jobs and tax revenue of RMB1 billion yuan. |
