Every Chinese New Year's Eve, as the lively sounds of firecrackers fill the air, the New Year begins, marking the sparkling debut of sweet rice wine. Taking a gentle sip of sweet rice wine, with each chew, the glutinous rice absorbs the sweet wine juice, offering a soft, smooth, sweet, and mild flavor. Slightly intoxicating but not overwhelming, it balances the savory taste of various cold dishes and hot stir-fries. With its unique freshness and sweetness, sweet rice wine becomes a standout dish on the New Year's Eve feast.

On November 7th, in the gypsum orchard of Shigaojing Village in Sizhai Town, Tonghai County, vibrant winter peaches adorned the branches as farmers busily harvested. Leveraging geographical and climatic advantages, Sizhai Village introduced winter peach cultivation, and the current planting scale is approximately 40 acres, now entering the picking season. To allow more visitors to experience the joy of picking, Sizhai Village will host the Winter Peach Festival from November 10th to 12th.

The new rice dough is ground into round and thick steamed cakes, finely boiled brown sugar is chopped into pieces, layers are spread into Zhenzi, which is made of bamboo strips and steamed with wood. Jiangchuan extra-large mooncake is a must for the Mid-Autumn Festival of Jiangchuan people. During Mid-Autumn Festival, every family will use the largest and most round mooncake to pray, wishing for peace and health for all family members. The craft of make this mooncake have been passed on for a hundred years, and it was rated as an intangible cultural heritage of Yuxi in 2022. Adopting the traditional production process, carefully cooked, this mooncake always retains the three major characteristics of "big", "round" and "crisp", and keeps the original flavor.

In early autumn, the 2000 mu of citrus in Luofeng Village, Yangguang Town, Tonghai County, is maturing one after another, and fruit farmers are busy picking citrus through the fruit trees. In 2018, Baishiyan Group introduced citrus planting according to local conditions, and actively promoted planting technology, and has formed a planting scale of more than 2,000 mu.
