People were gathering to celebrate torch festival on June 24 of lunar calendar, and the Ceremony to Get Fire by Drilling into Wood and Torch-Lighting Ceremony were respectively held on the Fire Source Platform on the Mopan Mountain and on the Ethnic Square of Xinping County Downtown, Yuxi Municipality, Yunnan Province. 
Bimo of Yi Nationality recited Classics on Getting Fire to get fire from god and blessed good weather for the crops, good harvests, safety, happiness and luck for all the people of Xinping on the Fire Source Platform on the Mopan Mountain at 3:00 pm on June 24 of lunar calendar. Mr. Pu Guangzhao, Head of Xinping County got fire for the torch festival on behalf of Yi Nationality.
