| In the period of the Tenth Five-year Plan of
Yuxi Municiplity, the principal objectives in economic and social
development comprise the following. The annual increase rate of GDP shall be over 6%(9% after the deduction of cigarettes). The annual increase rate of fixed assets investment shall be 8%. The annual increase rate of disposable income of urban and rural residents shall be over 5%. The annual increase rate of per capita net income of rural people shall be more than 4%. The natural rate of population increase shall be lower than 8.4°. The increase rate of population urbanization shall be 40%. The structure formula of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries shall be 8:65:27. The nonstate economic contribution shall have a percentage of 65-70 in the local GDP. ！The Implementation of ＾Four Strategies￣ 1.Rejuvenating Yuxi through the development of science, technology and education; 2. Urbanization; 3. Completely open up to the outside world; 4. Sustainable development. ！Realization of ＾Five Breakthroughs￣ 1.The important breakthrough in the general adoption of market principles; 2.The important breakthrough in investment construction; 3.The important breakthrough in nonstate economy; 4.The important breakthrough in social causes development. Five years later, the per capita GDP shall reach RMB 18700. Per capita annual income of urban residents shall amount to RMB 9461. Per capita annual net income of rural people shall add up to RMB 2843. Per capita rural residential area shall be 40 square while that of urban residents, 25 square meters.The average longevity shall be 71 years old. People shall be better-off.
