  Yuxi food is municipally famous, originated from the traditional cuisine style of ethnics, which is satisfying to eye, nose, and palate.
  The main characteristics of Yuxi cuisine are: (1) Different varieties and tastes; (2) Cooking skill (3) Being famous for spiciness, neither too sweet nor too sore.
  Yuxi is famous for various kinds of snacks with different cooking ways, different tastes, low prices and good quality. Famous snacks include Eel Rice Noodles, Ice Porridge, Cool Rice Noodles and etc.
Eel Rice Noodles
  Eel Rice Noodles is a typical snack in Yuxi. People can taste the Eel Rice Noodles with hot soup or cool soup. The snack is a harmonious blend of the spicy, the subtle, the sweet and sour.
Fish Cooked in Copper Pot
  It is the Fish Cooked in Copper Pot that you should taste when you come to the Fuxian Lake. Put the live anti-wave fish into the copper pot with mountain spring.   Gasa Soup Pot has a long history, created in the Ming Dynasty. This dish, a typical palate of Dai Nationality, consists of some parts of an ox, such as the heart, liver, intestines, tripe, tendon, and beef.
Dried Eel
  Dried Eel is one of the major dishes of the Dai Nationality. Muffle the eels in the hot ashes from the oven until they die. Put out the eels from the ashes, then clean them. Mix eels with the pepper, salt and chili. String the eels and dry them. Heat the eels in the cooking oil or fry on a fire before eating. It is very delicious and helps make a meal more complete.
