Baimang Snow Mountain with perennial snow-capped peaks is between the Gold Sand River and the Lancang River. It is designated as the nature reserve with a perfectly preserved primeval forest of valuable animals and plants. The Yunnan Snub-nosed Monkey, the first class protected animal in China, lives in this area.
